What if you sided with the Dawnguard in forebears holdout?

The dawnguard has a side quest to rescue an npc from a vampire hideout. One of the kidnapees can be Hert, who is a vampire who owns a mill. Take that in for a second. In forebears holdout there is an orc vampire, the only one in the game, named Markus torturing the moth priest. If sided with the dawnguard you will fight him.

How many merchant chests in Fort Dawnguard?

There are 3 merchant chests in fort dawnguard. I will elaborate later on. If you visit dimhollow crypt early, the entrance to the next room will be blocked off and only ice wolves will spawn. The hall of the vigilant is not actually destroyed, only the entrance is. The actual cell and the vigilants inside are still alive but unreachable.
